The overall argument of Eldredge's popular book Wild at Heart was misguided (Rick Philips' book was far more biblical), but the following resonanted and stuck with me as a man and a father:
Every man wants three things:
- a battle to fight;
- an adventure to live; and
- and a beauty to win.
I think there's truth to that.
