For interested in education, Kerry McDonald over at the LiberatED podcast just launched the first part of a series on homeschooling kids up to and into university.
I'm only partway through this episode, but it was an interesting reminder that a number of American colleges and universities will allow 'dual enrollment', allowing young people to get credit for both high school and college simultaneously.
A few questions come immediately to mind:
1. How many of these tertiary institutes are open to students outside of the US?
2. Do other countries have similar arrangements for homeschoolers, unschoolers, and other alternative students?
3. Is it possible for dual enrolled students to get a DipHE or associate's degree at the completion of their time with the college or university?
