Here’s a look behind the curtain, for someone who’s been involved with trying to get Dems to do a pivot and call off the attack dogs.
TL;DR - seeing some chatter about high up appointments for Harris economic, treasury, cabinet feels very Warren to me.
A lot of “crypto” industry getting involved, some of which I am now connected with and regularly communicating with. I’m arguing bitcoin, mining, PoW, self-custody, and open source development protections and release needs to be at the table. Only a few of us are saying this and it’s getting drown out by shitcoin nonsense. Not feeling too optimistic at the moment.
Also, with the Harris campaign only being like 3 weeks old, she has soooooo many more policy priorities to work on that they feel are more important for the election including healthcare, economy/affordability, immigration, climate, etc. crypto/bitcoin is not an election issue for them atm.
Do I think the Harris team will be more open than Biden? Yes absolutely. Do I think they’ll make strides on things I care about in bitcoin? I’m not too optimistic atm.
The only dem that kind of gets it is Ro Khanna, and dnc powers that be arent a huge fan of that and would much prefer to go the way of Warren (Warren is a political machine who doesn’t take not for an answer).
Maybe I’ll be completely wrong, but that’s what intel and experience tells me so far from these past few weeks. Dems perhaps won’t care until they’re forced to care, and in their polling voters aren’t telling them it’s an issue they need to worry about for the election. At least not yet…
