When I game with my spouse, my game loads faster through proton than theirs on windows. That game specifically has weird lighting issues for me though. I did have to reinstall Ubuntu to roll back from 23.04 to 22.10 because the game wouldn't load, and I have to cycle through several versions of proton before I could find a stable release for me.
