Kindness and compassion should be thought of as muscles.
You can say you are kind and compassionate, but that means nothing if you don't actively practice being so. Actions > words.
And challenge yourself to be even MORE so. Has one way of kindness become easy and second-nature? Move onto something harder. Work out those muscles. Come up with more and more challenging workouts. Push your limits. Do more. Make yourself uncomfortable and stretch yourself until that then becomes comfortable.
