I'm a contractor, & a few years ago decided to apply for long term care, you know, to help out down the road if hubs or I need it.

I was denied the chance to even apply for it (not life ins as the letter mistakenly claims) because I use medical marijuana.

We have zero insurance because we can't afford it as self-employed folks. I decided if I get real sick I won't seek treatment cuz who wants to leave their spouse bankrupt from medical bills?
