Two things I’m now convinced will happen regarding #nostr, it’s just a matter of when
1) an explosion of new users, as centralized social media clients (like X) continue to censor, make poor business and customer decisions, and eventually implode. And as nostr clients improve, get easier, better UX, and appealing to mainstream (like primal (npub12vk…pugg) with killer UX and wallet in-app).
2) as users grow, so too will government attacks against nostr-enable clients and businesses. We saw a smidge of this with Apple and damus (npub18m7…q955) but that was child’s play imo. Legal funds will be needed, similar to bitcoin dev legal funds.
This could be next year. It could be 5 years, 10 years, 20 years down the line. It will be interesting, and it’s very cool to be living through these times.
