One of the things I find most impressive about C-5's is the landing gear. I once crawled (walked actually) around under an early model C-5 and got a serious look that massive and massively strong machinery. I wonder if there are any films of worst-case braking tests - the ones where the brakes get red hot and the tires smoke (or worse.)
Back in the late '80s and early '90's I would sometimes be in Sunnyvale, near Moffett field, when a C5 would come in - I don't know if they still make that noise, but at that time the unworldly screech from the motors would make my hair stand on end.
