I'm thinking the 2,100 sat epoch join fee might be a barrier to entry for most people? 🚧🚷
A lot of people log in but when met with the join invoice, only the minority take the next step and pay to play.
So next epoch I'm thinking about lowering the join fee to either 210 or 21 sats. The join fee helps fund the epoch payout pool, but to date it has ended up making up a relatively small portion of it (thanks to top-ups from players and generous sponsorships from BitcoinWalk (nprofile…g6se) etc.). So removing it will likely boost participation and make the game more exciting with more players, without really affecting the reward.
