The two words are synonymous, this is from Strongs, but throughout many religions and tongues 'heaven' and 'sky' have the same meaning or are the same word.

as abode of the stars
as the visible universe, the sky, atmosphere, etc
Heaven (as the abode of God)
So I would agree that Heaven is in the sky.
