You are saying you wish the federal government had less control then demanding that it trample a bunch of people who have asked for nothing more than for the feds to go away and leave them alone. The city was indisputably more peaceful before the federal interference.
If you really want less federal interference in local day to day life of Americans, this is a great chance to stand with the people of LA and demand it.
Your logic of ultimate law following at all costs makes any atrocity of any scale acceptable as long as it is legal. Slavery was legal. The Holocaust was legal. The Trail of Tears was legal. The Japanese immigrant camps in America during WW2 were legal. What China is doing to the Uyghurs is legal. What the British did to the Irish was legal. What the British did to India was legal. What the British did to many other countries globally was legal. Every communist countries mass purges were legal. I could go on and on.
You may have your day in the sun today, but history is consistently unkind to people who think like you.
