Once upon a time I was debanked & couldn't even access what little money I had to buy food. I went into the bank, caused a massive scene in the lobby & they eventually pulled me into a manager's office. He agreed to completely unrestrict my account for 24 hours so I could "sort bills". I went home & immediately drained my account, sending it to an exchange & bought #Bitcoin, which I then took self-custody of. It was the only way I could guarantee that my money was mine. I vowed, "never again" & never looked back. 💁♂️
It's the self-sovereignty & censorship resistance all day for me; the price could never go up again & it'd still be infinitely valuable to me. 🤙
