Usually when a big company changes its name to something silly, I’m looking at you Meta and Alphabet, we take a while to adapt, then grudgingly accept the change. While journalist still need to remind readers that we’re actually talking about Facebook or Google, the new name sticks.
That’s not the case with X. A single letter is too ambiguous to be a name. We’re going to need to keep reminding everyone that this is Twitter until the company folds or no-one is interested any more.
