I don't believe Jamie Carragher's opinion about Trent's situation does anything useful, constructive, or helpful for Liverpool.
I don't even believe Jamie Carragher is being self-serving or malicious. I just think he says stupid things all the time, because that's what he's been hired to do.
The problem is his words still carry some influence, and saying too many stupid things at the wrong time can sometimes be destructive.
