Dasa Bombjaková, anthropologist, conducted a (wonderful) 18-month socio-anthropological research (2013 - 2015) among hunter-gatherers in the Congo Basin of the Likouala region, Congo-Brazzaville.
The Mbenjele BaYaka (pygmies is a derogatory term), live by hunting and gathering. They are very receptive parents. It is an egalitarian society. They have no bosses or kings, there is no hierarchy. But above all, they value and cultivate autonomy and individuality. Also the character and talent of each person, through community work. It's about respecting everyone's diverse abilities.
