Calling on devs & programmers interested in #Bitcoin! This is our first technical meetup at Bitcoin Charlotte. We will give a high level overview of how you can use a bitcoin client library, Python's bitcoinlib, to explore the inner workings of bitcoin clients. In this talk we will use a Jupyter notebook to write python that connects back to a bitcoind server. We will explore how we can use bitcoinlib to perform common client actions such as:
-Creating a seed
-Creating a key
-Creating a wallet
-Generating a receive address and receiving bitcoin to that address
-Creating a signed transaction that sends bitcoin to another wallet
The purpose of this talk is to give a high level overview of how a user can explore the bitcoinlib API and serve as a jumping off point for any attendees that are interested in learning more about bitcoin by getting their hands dirty with some code.
