We the parents of the said Miss Sarah Greaton
doth send these few lines with the bearer Hans
Hamilton and witness to the same to let the clerk
of the said County know that we have no
objections for him to issue licence for the said couple
to join in the bonds of marriage. Wherefore we have
set our hands and seals unto it this 17th day of
June in the year of our Lord 1817.
