More bulls broke through the fences. Sceptre and sword repelled vicious blades. Manual labour made Gethin strong, but he lacked the graceful fighting skills his sister had in abundance.
And then two more heads rolled when Heledd marched into the farm-turned-battlefield wielding one longsword in each hand and wearing an enamelled golden cuirass—now there was a Goddess of War I could worship!
