It’s tough when you watch a show that you like and there’s a character whose performance you have a real problem with.
It’s tough because you have to realize that it’s almost certainly the script’s fault not the actor’s fault although sometimes it’s the director’s fault.
Such is my situation with the second season of Picard.
Notice I didn’t say the writer’s fault. The script can be touched by many people after the writer writes it, and the execution is up to the director.
