I never miss an opportunity to express my inability to respect anyone who self-defines as a centrist.
To make "the centre" your core ethical principle is to say "I am a sheep that seeks to be in the very middle of the herd, where I believe I will be safe from both physical danger and from needing to think about anything other than remaining in the middle."
To be a centrist is to reject ethics in favor of conformity. It is contemptible.
