I was lucky to have a job that allowed me to work from home. I started in August 2019. Then COVID hit & everyone except our QA specialists & military pilots worked from home.
In Oct 2022 I was diagnosed with cancer.
In the spring of 2023, my agency required us to return to the office once a week. My boss let me work from home until I retired in July 2023. I miss the camaraderie, not the B.S.
If we were doing the job fine from home, why return? I think it all comes down to one word. Trust.
