The 12th edition of the largest Portuguese wine festival in Brazil will take place from June 6th to 8th in Rio de Janeiro and from June 13th to 15th in São Paulo. The event, which is free and open to the public, will feature a program that combines leisure, culture, and gastronomy, bringing together consumers and producers through two exclusive spaces - tasting rooms and wine tests. The tasting rooms will return in 2025 with 10 sessions available in each city, and wine tests with 31 new themes about the world of enotourism. The tickets for both areas are already available, with prices starting at R$170 and R$300, respectively. The tasting rooms will feature over 650 wine labels from almost 80 Portuguese producers from regions such as Lisbon, Dão, Alentejo, Beira Interior, Porto, and Douro, among others. The initial price of the tickets in the first batch is R$170. Like the tasting, the wine tests aim to encourage knowledge and learning about wine through experimentation. This year, the Vinhos de Portugal will feature 31 wine tests in its program, with 16 in Rio de Janeiro and 15 in São Paulo. Led by a team of experienced oenologists, specialists, and critics, the sessions will have a limited capacity of up to 30 people and will offer the opportunity to taste sophisticated and exclusive wines, some of which have not yet reached Brazil, with guidance from professionals such as Master of Wine Brazilian Dirceu Vianna Júnior, critic Jorge Lucki, sommelier Cecília Aldaz, journalists Manuel Carvalho and Alexandra Prado Coelho, and critic and director of Grandes Escolhas Luís Lopes. The ticket prices for the wine tests start at R$300. The initiative will take place on Sunday, June 8th, from 1pm to 2pm, in Rio, and on Friday, June 13th, from 5:30pm to 6:30pm, in São Paulo.
