Yes, it was a special mood to be wrapped up in the fog (especially while safety tied to a mooring). Navigating in the fog is a completely different experience because of the danger of hitting other boats. My most recent experience in the fog before this was one was on the summit of a mountain!! Interesting similarities-- seeing people disappear into the fog at the summit just as I saw boats disappear into the fog. Check out this post from last year:
