Also of note, pedophilia is the psychological desire, not the crime. From what I was told by a friend that he learned while getting his psych degree is that most pedophiles never act on their desire because they are law abiding people who either do not want to damage the child or don't want to get in trouble (or both). Pedophilia isn't the crime, sexual abuse of minors is the crime.
