"do enough people show up and say interesting things and participate in good discussions?"
This right here is what I'm most worried about. I've been a part of too many great communities that have, time after time, crumbled as they grew.
It's the early adopters (that are always very open minded) that drive these meaningful discussions and I believe we're doomed to perpetually distance ourselves from the crowd if we want them to continue.
