Forums are a big deal, and it's been a running battle for years now.
A popular one, Ice Age Farmer, which is focused on topics related to Grand Solar Minimum and challenges with modern supply chain systems, got wiped off Discord back around 2020 without warning or good reason.
It was a scramble to migrate the thousands of members over to Guilded.
The challenge with forums is the admins need to be able to moderate / curate content.
