Okay so, what's "plex for ebooks", or "jellyfin for ebooks" ? As I tinker in various hobbies, I've accumulated a bunch of random papers, textbooks and the like. Not to mention fiction epubs. Organizing and accessing them isn't terribly convenient right now, I mostly stuff non-fiction things into Zotero, which is okay but not as seamless when I want to just read a thing, possibly across a bunch of devices.
What's the self-hosted option for that sort of thing? Calibre's manual tells me it has a "content server" now that seems intended to enable easier access to stuff from mobile devices... but afaict it's still very much a "desktop GUI first" application, rather than a server with a variety of frontends.
