It's a PR hit. Im not sure accound management matters when the point is to create instinctive, reactive negative association with the words and ideas.
Like if someone started a platform called Nostr and it ran for a few years. Suddenly it gets taken down in a big legal scandal like this, and news media and other social media run the headlines aggressively "Nostr servers seized for varies heinous crimes", and major search engines bump that up to the top.
