It might be overwhelming at first but it really pays off diving in and learning how to use it, in the long run.
Check out vids by Thomas Frank and Marie Poulin to see the magic, that's possible with it.
Other tools like Obsidian and Anytype could be worth a look, too, as these work offline and are self-hostable
