I get that money asymmetry in electoral systems has consequences.
But I confess I don’t understand why, just 4 months out from the US election, donations are *sooo* important.
Have these 2 parties not already amassed obscenely huge war chests? Can we not just make it about policies from here on in? Where does the money go?
And if getting elected *requires* a firehose of money isn’t that a really really really bad system?
