I would not go that far. I'm sure there are lot of legit scentist looking for answers without a specific agenda.
But for the everyday life, I like how saylor (npub15dq…lm5m) puts it. Develop heuristics instead of seeking the truth, there are too many theories on everything and it's impossible to go through them all to define your own version of the truth. Heuristics (built through life experience) helps you quickly sort out the bullshit.
