So I haven’t had a chance to tell you yet about my shopping experiences at the good department store. I recently had an injection of funds (phew!) shall we say, and was able to buy a few much needed items, and this store is like a time capsule. It’s where the farmers and their wives go to buy their clothes and boots and hats. (It’s also where I got my mastectomy prostheses and the bras that I wear with them - really amazing service. Anyway!)
I needed some cotton long sleeve shirts, because I burn within 5 minutes. I walk up to the counter, and the same sales lady who helped me buy clothes last year recognises me, “Hello dear, what are you looking for today?” I mention my size, she says “Oh no dear, I don’t think so!” And we start looking for the right (smaller, I’ve lost weight!) size shirts, one on one customer service, do I like this, what about that, hmmm, I know this isn’t your usual style but try it anyway… about 7 shirts to try one. Down to the dressing room… (next post)
