I think it's notable that
1. NYPD actually does have the capability and will to track the shooter from when he arrived in NYC by bus through the shooting until he left the city by bus, all via dystopian camera feeds like in an NCIS:LA episode, and
2. That still hasn't helped them identify him
Like... Massive civil rights questions aside, it seems like it's just not effective?
