Now, if we select developer velocity as our primary goal for testing, we avoid a lot of the classic pitfalls of testing (e.g. high reliance on integration tests or overspecified tests).

It's a lens that helps us remember that we don't test for the sake of testing, and it's a lens that helps us decide what makes for better tests.

And that's incredibly useful to help settle debates about this type of test vs that type, etc.
