I mean English is really easy, you take a bit Brittonic, some early Latin, drown it in several West Germanic languages, sprinkle some North Germanic on top, add a large serving of old French and more Latin with some Greek on the side, stir heavily for a thousand years, then throw in a Shakespeare for flavour and out comes a language that everyone can speak and no one likes.
