- You can talk about things late after midnight: 2500, etc
- noon/midnight is unambiguous: 1200, 0000, or explicitly as 0000, 1200, 2400 for start of day, noon, and end of day
- much easier to hour arithmetic
- not ambiguous when you leave off am/pm
Its worth the switch
