You bring up another good point I wasn't even thinkinf of.
My concern was more of holding the model I bring with the model they bring--comparing models, having the willingness, confidence, patience to build the competing models and consider.
Your point is just as important. We aren't necessarily walking in with one integral model, but with overlapping--even mutually exclusive--partial models. Layers.
Bet that gets complicated when we feel the tug of more than one relevant model we hold. (This reminds me of having different personailities among friends that usually aren't in the same room.) The right angle of a subject pulls on both models at once--*both* of which belong to *you*--both providing different (and maybe necessary) tangent connections for stability of the greater view.
Great time to integrate, to better--or to lose one or both (could be intellectually good; could be demoralizing, "bad").
