the neighborhood I live in has been extensively remodeled about 25 years ago. To the extent that many houses were demolished and then rebuilt on smaller plots set back further from the road or simply never rebuilt, just to create extra parking spots. They didn’t install a single bike rack, so bikes litter the pavement everywhere. And this is in a low to middle income neighborhood in the Netherlands. Anyone telling you that cars aren’t still king here is lying.
