Last night my Mom's friends were going through, and boxing up her craft stuff to take. My emotions are so mixed. Growing up both of my parents were hoarders, we always had a messy house with stuffed crammed everywhere. After my Dad passed, I worked hard to cut the clutter, and have a nicer place to live, but the enormous amount of craft stuff never really went away, and kept getting added to. It's strange now that I'm watching it slowly being taken away I feel both enormous relief, and a deep sadness watching all the stuff slowly disappear. This is what my Mom asked me to do with it many times, and I'm happy to get rid of it, but at the same time, it feels a little like I'm erasing her, even though there's many things I've kept to remind me of her. How do you deal with what's left?
