If someone can build in a match-making service for bettors with a small automatic rake, this will happen. Instead of playing -110 to Draft Kings, you pay -103 to the match-maker (maybe even less), the developer gets rich, and you don’t just build out the nostr ecosystem but probably the lightning payments one as well.
I think Nostr will easily triple its user base once someone taps into the sports betting industry. Sports betting markets are worth over 13 billion dollars and it’s full of KYC laws and fiat bullshit. It’s all permissioned and monitored by the government parasites. Permissionless sports betting integrated into nostr with payouts in sats is going to change everything for the normies! Some anon dev should get on this #grownostr
