Not long after i got here I posted a toot that said, "An ethnic state is an ethnic state. The only difference between an Aryan state and a Jewish state is the name of the tribe in charge. I accompanied it with a pic of the Israeli flag with the Magan David replaced with a swastika. One of the admins, obviously a Zionist sympathizer, rather than asking me to delete it, deleted it himself and then threatened me to "watch out".

Not wanting to get thrown out, I stopped posting that. I wonder if I could get away with it now. What I've been telling people in the meantime is, "Anti-Zionism is not antisemitism for the same reason that anti-Nazism is not anti-Germanism. Germans have a right to live in Europe. They do not have the right to rule it by virtue of them being Germans. Same goes for Jews In Palestine." That has seemed mild enough for the admins.

FWIW, I'm what Nazis call a "race traitor". My (common law) wife of 40 years is a staunch anti-Zionist Jew. She *hates* Israel. It's bad for her blood pressure sometimes, mine too, but she can't not do it. Science agrees that petting a cat lowers blood pressure. We ran the experiment ourselves. Yeah, it works. Then the news comes on and our blood pressure goes back up.

Zionists call her a "self-hating Jew" for saying that Israel is making Jews in general look bad in the public eye. That's absurd. Disagreeing with other Jews is the most Jewish thing a Jew can do. Anybody who thinks that Jews as a people are capable of agreeing on anything as complex as secretly ruling the world never went out for pizza or Chinese food with my in-laws.

My own people came from Ireland. We had our own Holocaust. Jews have no monopoly on genocide. Ask an Armenian. Ask a Native American. Etc. Now we can add Gazans to that list. It makes us sad and angry, especially when we think about who's paying the butcher's bill.

In any event, if a Zionist is defined as a supporter of Israel, then most Zionists aren't Jews, let alone Israelis. They're Christian American Evangelicals. There are scores of millions of them and they vote as a bloc. They're also armed to the teeth. It's them I fear even more than state. America is teetering on the brink of "civil unrest", if not outright civil war. We know which side the Evangelicals will take.

My mom was a Christian Zionist. Our whole (Protestant) church was. All I knew about Zionists was what I learned from Leon Uris, i.e., they were peaceful communal farmers surrounded by bloodthirsty antisemites. At age 12 I planted a tree in honor of my best friend's bar mitzvah. Eventually, unlike most Americans, I heard the Arab side of the story. Uris lied to me. I want my tree back.
