As we know this has been an election of silences...
While to some extent this has left Keir Starmer plenty of room to manoeuvre, with little opposition in the HoC the question of 'mandate' will be of little importance, until measures reach the HoL.
It will be interesting to see how the Lords look on (obstruct) policy that was not in the manifesto (at all, or only in general terms) when it comes to specific legislation.
Will Lords reform return as a key political issue in 2025!
