Assuming a perfect distribution and use of resources, what would be the minimum of resources and energy we would need to support current population levels with what most would regard as basic necessities: food, water, sewage, electricity, housing, healthcare, transport, etc.
That would allow us to establish a baseline for unavoidable ecological destruction.
