Peruvian Congress declares the Tren de Aragua a terrorist organization 🇵🇪🇻🇪
The plenary of the #Peruvian #Congress approved this Wednesday a motion proposing to declare the transnational #criminal gang #TrenDeAragua as a #terrorist organization, “In view of its hierarchical structure, violent methods and destabilizing purposes against the Peruvian constitutional order”. The initiative, which was proposed by the pro-Fujimori party Fuerza Popular, received 77 votes in favor, 10 against and 3 abstentions. The #Congress indicated that it will create a special commission that will work for 180 days with the Ministry of the Interior and other state agencies to coordinate strategies to combat the Tren de Aragua in the country.
