I like (book) Eowyn. I'm sure I read Tolkien originally planned for her and Aragon to shack up and then he later added in the underwhelming Arwen.
I didn't like how Jackson messed with the Stewards of Gondor. Faramir is never tempted by the ring. He's practically a low-level Gandalf. Denethor's mind had been warped from overuse of the seeing stone and tricked into thinking all was lost.
And no one in the production team had any idea about longbows.
