A metaphor for a person who would leave you in a state that was unrecognizable... not even your teeth would remain to identify your persons.
In his case, the sentiment was based around ridiculous threats made by what he thinks are russian spies .... in his fragile, demented, schizophrenic state.... who's to say what's true?!
I can, however, say that I witnessed terrible people threaten him with a kidnapping - claiming to be a band of dentists... while he was researching russian history and calling Vladimir Putin a closeted homosexual, because he was prompted to do so.
