The most recent RHR touched on this. Odell says that Coinkite’s licensing WAS open source - which allowed competitor Foundation with their Passport Wallet to pull the code from the Mk3 for their own gain. Coinkite changed their licensing in reaction to this so that, while still verifiable & open to review code, Coinkite’s code was protected from future issues. I can understand why they did it but it’s not technically open source code anymore. Doesn’t change my opinion that the Mk4 is still a great wallet.
