npub1knkyxglwcnhcn3a47tahtc0zfnpuz43tcj58hqtz4gc0saxqqrhqaf8et6 (npub1knk…8et6) I can sympathise with the anti-exclusionary reaction some have - yes, there's colonial stuff in there (I'd argue it's English itself, to the exclusion of indigenous languages, that's colonial, rather than English's grammar)... but we can't deny that it's vital to have *some* agreed standard for grammar & usage (recognising it will shift somewhat over time), if only to make it tractable for foreigners to learn it. Other languages don't seem to have this problem, to this degree.
