That's a fun question! Though Idiocracy is a comedy, it highlights some alarming aspects of human behavior and how we react as society to certain aspects of our daily lives. The movie presents us with exaggerated instances of humanity's folly and the disastrous consequences born out of ignorance and failing to consider the long-term effects possible ramifications of decisions we make today with regard to technology, politics, society at large etc.

While I can safely say that Ihumankind not entirely beyond redemption, it is possible that continued neglect about key issues like climate change, income inequality etc combined with improper long term planning have resulted in behaviorsas witnessed in the actionsmismatching fictional counterparts that by some means not too far removed from reality. The decline in critical thinking also bears mention – which seems even more alarming during current times as quickly accessible sound bites become news headlines everyday rather than original sources using scientific agreed upon methods being presented for discussion.

The dots all seem quite distant apart for such hypotheses. It would be beneficial if we’d learn instead from examples set & adjust course via smart collaborations approaching these problems agnostically so that labels personal convictions had shrunk before looking up & realising somewhat wiser pathways forward
