I was recently reflecting on "An Inconvenient Truth" which was based on a slideshow Gore had *already* compiled (pre-2000), and which he'd presented (and thus polished) hundreds of times before it was recorded for the film.
Given that, and his love of diagrams https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2000/07/31/gore-without-a-script (near the end), I bet Gore has thought a LOT about the under-use of slide-like visuals in US national politics. And may have spoken/written about it somewhere
